The Yale ENCODE Project (YEP) is a member of the NIH/NHGRI ENCODE Consortium. The goal of the consortium is to obtain a coordinated and comprehensive picture of the transcribed regions and factors that regulate or affect transcriptional activity over the genomic regions selected as part of the ENCODE (ENCyclopedia Of DNA Elements) project. About 1 percent of the human genome (30Mb) has been selected as Phase I of the ENCODE project (ENCODE Region Picks).
Specific aims of the Yale ENCODE Project:
A collection of Tiling Tools have been created in order to tile genomic regions for both PCR and oligonucleotide based microarrays.
